The fun kicks off on Thursday, April 11 at 6:35 p.m. with the first game of a four-game set against the Columbus Clippers. Thursday is Opening Night presented by ARS Rescue Rooter, as the defending back-to-back Governors' Cup champions will take the DBAP field for the first time in 2019. Following the contest will be the season's first postgame fireworks show.
Debuting Thursday night is the stadium's new value concessions menu with Afforda-BULL Eats, as select main concession stand items and vendor items are marked down at least 25 percent off. Highlights include $3 nachos and cheese, $4 sausage and chips and select $5 beer. Additionally, Pie Pushers, Gonza Tacos y Tequila, The KupKake Fairy and Durham Co-op will offer items at a discount. The Bulls and Clippers battle again Friday, April 12 at 7:05 p.m., with the evening's contest presented by EmergeOrtho. The first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a back-to-back championship pennant presented by Millennium Durham, and returning members from the 2018 championship squad will receive their championship rings following the game. The ring ceremony will be proceeded by the season's first Friday Night Fireworks show presented by bioMerieux. Further, Friday marks the season's first Food Truck Friday, as Bull City Street Food and Barone Meatball will be serving their delicacies all evening long on the Diamond View concourse above the right field seats.
On Saturday, April 13 the Bulls transform into the Durham Tobacconists for the first time this season for their game against Columbus. The 6:35 p.m. tilt, presented by Amica, will be a celebration of the City of Durham's 150th anniversary, highlighted by the Bulls wearing special uniforms to commemorate the Tobacconists, Durham's first professional baseball team.
The series against the Cleveland Indians' top affiliate comes to a close on Sunday, April 14 at 5:05 p.m., with the contest presented by Five Guys. Prior to the day's contest, the Blue Cross NC Front Gate at the ballpark's entrance will open at 3 p.m. for a pregame autograph session with Bulls players and coaches on the field. Additionally, fans can partake in Catch on the Field at this time, with the event ending at 3:45 p.m. Fans are asked to bring their own gloves and baseballs for Catch on the Field. Following the evening's game, children get to show off their speed with Kids Run the Bases presented by Nature's Twist. --- UPDATE, 10 a.m., Sunday, April 14: Sunday's game has been moved to a 4:05 p.m. first pitch, with gates opening at 3 p.m. The scheduled team autograph session has been postponed to a later date.
