DES MOINES, IA. — The Omaha Storm Chasers game against the Iowa Cubs has been postponed today – Tuesday, April 30th – due to inclement weather. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader tomorrow – Wednesday, May 1 –with Game 1 scheduled for 12:08 PM CT.

The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader tomorrow – Wednesday, May 1 –with Game 1 scheduled for 12:08 PM CT. Both games will be 7.0-inning contests, and Game 2 will begin roughly 30 minutes following the conclusion of the opener.
Today’s postponement marks the fourth consecutive Storm Chasers game affected by weather, after the last three games of last week’s series at Werner Park against Indianapolis were all postponed due to inclement weather. Prior to this week, the Triple-A Omaha franchise had not had more than two straight games postponed due to weather, dating back to 2005.
Omaha and Iowa have played three games so far this season, with the Chasers taking two of three from the Cubs to open the season, March 29 to 31. This week’s 6-game series runs through Sunday, May 5 and Omaha returns to Iowa July 4-6. The two teams meet 15 times in total this season, including games in Omaha July 1 to 3 and August 6 to 11.
