SeaWolves Fall to Binghamton in 12

The SeaWolves dropped another heartbreaker as they fell in 12 innings to the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, 5-4, on Monday night.
Binghamton jumped ahead in the first inning against Erie starter
The SeaWolves responded in the second against Ponies starter
The Rumble Ponies tied the game in the third as Mazzilli led off and connected on a solo home run to left to make it a 2-2 game.
Erie regained the lead in the fourth as Moya led off and clubbed a solo home run to left for a 3-2 lead. The home run for Moya was his 11th.
The SeaWolves extended the lead in the fifth, once again, thanks to a two-out hit.
Binghamton closed the gap to a run in the sixth against reliever
The Ponies then tied the game in the seventh. Peter Alonso led off with a double and came in to score on a one-out
The game remained tied until the last of the 12th.
Moreno (0-3) took the loss for Erie allowing a run on one hit with a walk and two strikeouts in 1.2 innings of work.
Hall took his second straight no-decision. He allowed two runs on four hits with five walks and five strikeouts in five innings.
The loss for the SeaWolves was their seventh straight to the Rumble Ponies.
Erie and Binghamton meet in the second game of the series on Tuesday night at NYSEG Stadium at 6:35 p.m. Lefty
