What can I do at the ballpark before the game?

Public gates open at 3:00 p.m. (CT), three hours before game time. There will be several photo opportunities around the site. Fans can have a catch on the original Movie Site, play cornhole in the outfield, and explore additional activations on-site.

What are the site conditions at the MiLB at Field of Dreams site?

As a reminder, the MiLB at Field of Dreams site is on a working farm. Most of the site has gravel pathways, grassy areas and lots of corn. Please be prepared and wear comfortable shoes. For any guests who require ADA or special assistance, please contact us at [email protected].

Will the Movie Site farmhouse be open for tours during the game?

The Movie Site farmhouse where Field of Dreams was filmed will not be open to the public during MiLB at Field of Dreams. There will be plenty of photo opportunities on-site with the farmhouse as the backdrop.

What is the MiLB at Field of Dreams bag policy?

All bags are prohibited at MiLB at Field of Dreams, except for Medical and Diaper bags (must be no larger than 16" x 16" x 8"). All bags are subject to search.

Holder acknowledges and understands that, if infected with COVID-19 or other Communicable Disease (as defined at the conclusion of this paragraph), Holder and/or any Accompanying Parties may infect others that they may subsequently come in contact with, even if they are not experiencing or displaying any symptoms of illness, and that the risk of exposure to others remains at all times. Accordingly, Holder agrees that neither Holder nor any Accompanying Party will attend the Event if within ten (10) days preceding the Event, they have:

(a) tested positive or presumptively positive for COVID-19 or other Communicable Disease or been identified as a potential carrier of COVID-19 or other Communicable Disease; OR
(b) experienced any symptoms commonly associated with COVID-19 or other Communicable Disease; OR
(c) been in direct contact with or the immediate vicinity of any person who is confirmed or suspected of being infected with COVID-19 or other Communicable Disease.

A "Communicable Disease" as used herein is COVID-19, any strains, variants, or mutations thereof, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, and/or any other airborne, aerosolized or surface transmissible communicable and/or infectious diseases, viruses, bacteria or illnesses or the causes thereof.

MiLB at Field of Dreams Ticket Terms and Conditions.

Is there going to be any retail at the MiLB at Field of Dreams site?

Merchandise trailers will be placed throughout the site, including the main entrance next to the red barn with an additional location on the concourse. The locations will feature an assortment of team specific merchandise.
The Field of Dreams Gift Shop, a year-round location at the ballpark, will also be open throughout the event.

Will there be concessions at the MiLB at Field of Dreams site?

Concessions at the event, provided by Aramark, will be available from the parking lots and throughout the event site. While cash will be accepted at all food and beverage locations, we encourage you to use cashless payment and online ordering where available to keep lines moving.

What is the ticket policy for the MiLB at Field of Dreams game?

The ticket is valid only for this Event. If the Event is canceled or suspended (and is not a regulation game), not rescheduled or resumed in the same venue, or played without fans, or with limited fans, in attendance, the MLB Entities will determine in their sole discretion whether any refunds will be issued and post such decision at mlb.com.

If there is inclement weather during the game where can I take shelter?

In the case of inclement weather during the game, please follow directions provided on-site.

What is the tailgating policy?

Tailgating in designated MiLB at Field of Dreams parking areas is permitted. Charcoal or open flame grills are prohibited.

What time do the parking lots open for guests on Tuesday, August 9?

Parking lots will open at 2:00 p.m. (CT) on Tuesday for guests.

How do I access the MiLB at Field of Dreams site?

Guests must present their MiLB at Field of Dreams parking pass to access the roads leading up to the Field of Dreams site.

The story behind MLB at Field of Dreams

Field of Dreams stars Kevin Costner, Ray Liotta, James Earl Jones and Amy Madigan. It was nominated for the Academy Award® for Best Picture in 1990 and was selected to the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress in 2017. The 1989 film, adapted from W. P. Kinsella's 1982 novel Shoeless Joe, tells the story of Iowa farmer Ray Kinsella, a husband and father who is tending to his cornfield when he hears a mysterious voice intone, "If you build it, he will come." According to the American Film Institute (AFI), those words are the 39th top film quote of all-time. The White Sox and the Yankees are the two favorite clubs of Ray's father, John Kinsella, at different points of his life.

Since 1989, the Lansing Family Farm, which was used in the movie, has been a popular tourist attraction, now known as the "Field of Dreams Movie Site." In 2011, the field was purchased by Denise Stillman and a group of investors with the goal of preserving the Field of Dreams and creating a special place for baseball fans, tournament players and families. Stillman began working with MLB in 2015, which held the "MLB at Field of Dreams" game for the first time in 2021.

MLB at Field of Dreams presented by GEICO was part of the GEICO Summer Series. MLB constructed an 8,000-seat ballpark on the Dyersville site. A pathway through a cornfield took fans to the ballpark, which overlooks the famous movie location. The right field wall included windows to show the cornfields beyond the ballpark. Aspects of the ballpark's design paid homage to Chicago's Comiskey Park, home of the White Sox from 1910-1990, including the shape of the outfield and bullpens beyond the center field fence.
