Four Miracle selected as 2018 FSL All-Stars

Vasquez, 24, receives his first career All-Star selection. He is 0-1 with a 0.66 ERA in 15 relief appearances. He has tossed 18.1 consecutive scoreless innings for the Miracle, a span of 10 appearances. Vasquez also made one scoreless appearance for Double-A Chattanooga in April. With the Miracle, he has 30 strikeouts and eight walks in 27.1 innings and has held opponents to a .210 batting average. Each of his three saves have been multi-inning appearances. Vasquez was selected by the Twins in the 32nd round of the 2015 draft out of Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA. He was born in Riverside, CA.
Kerrigan, 24, is hitting .299 with six home runs and 21 RBI in 40 games. The six home runs are tied for the team lead with fellow All-Star Travis Blankenhorn. This is Kerrigan's first career All-Star selection. He is fifth in the FSL with a .510 slugging percentage and leads the Miracle with 11 doubles. He homered in consecutive games earlier this week in Clearwater and has the only four RBI game for the Miracle this season (April 11 vs. Florida). He also went 3-for-10 with a home run in a stint with Triple-A Rochester in early May. Kerrigan was signed by the Twins as a non-drafted free agent on July 26, 2017. He played collegiately at Temple University and VCU, went undrafted, and was playing with the Independent River City Rascals of the Frontier League prior to being signed.
Davis, 23, makes his first career All-Star appearance. After splitting last season between Low-A Cedar Rapids and the Miracle, Davis has spent all of 2018 in Fort Myers and is hitting .285 with four home runs and 11 RBI in 41 games. He also has five outfield assists, playing primarily in right field. He has raised his on-base percentage from .303 last season to .376 this year. Davis is hitting 11-for-25 (.440) in his last seven games. He was selected by the Twins in the 24th round of the 2015 draft out of Appalachian State. Davis was born in Greensboro, NC.
Blankenhorn, 21, is a second-time All-Star. He was also selected as a Mid-Season All-Star last season with Low-A Cedar Rapids. He is hitting .255 with six home runs and 22 RBI. The RBI lead the club and he is also tied for the team lead with three triples. Blankenhorn hit two home runs on April 25 at Clearwater and appeared in two Spring Training games with the Twins. He is ranked as the #29 prospect in the Twins organization by Baseball America and was selected by Minnesota in the 3rd round of the 2015 draft out of Pottsville Area High School in Pottsville, PA. He also played basketball and football in high school, averaging 16.3 points per game and tallying 1,211 yards and eight touchdowns his senior year.
The 2018 FSL All-Star Game takes place on June 16 at George M. Steinbrenner Field and is hosted by the Tampa Tarpons. First pitch is 6:30 p.m. The 2018 FSL Home Run Derby will take place beforehand. Participants will be announced at a later date.
