FORT WAYNE, Ind. – With Major League Baseball’s Home Run Derby X coming to Parkview Field in less than a month on Saturday, August 10 (7pm), more participants have been added to the star-studded lineup. MLB legend Dexter Fowler will be joined by softball / women’s baseball stars Ashton Lansdell and Paige Halstead.
In May it was announced that Jake Arrieta, Nick Swisher, Jocelyn Alo, and Alex Hugo are also headlining this exciting new baseball format that’s built around power hitting and defensive hustle.
Tickets for MLB’s Home Run Derby X at Parkview Field start at just $12. The event is expected to sell out, as tickets are going quickly.

“As Parkview Field celebrates it’s 15th anniversary, we’ve never been more fired up to host an event than we are for MLB’s Home Run Derby X,” said Mike Nutter, President of the Fort Wayne TinCaps, Minor League Baseball’s High-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres.
Fowler, a 14-year veteran, was a National League All-Star in 2016 with the Cubs as he starred in center field for Chicago’s World Championship club. Lansdell returns to HRDX 2024 after playing her first season of college softball at Florida International University. Prior to that, she played exclusively baseball in high school and at Georgia Highlands College, where she became the first woman to play baseball at the National Junior College Athletic Association level. Halstead won a 2019 NCAA National Championship as a catcher at UCLA. She has been a member of the USA Women’s National Softball team where she won a gold medal in the 2017 World Cup of Softball and won silver medals in the 2016 and 2017 World Cup of Softball.
More details and exciting announcements are still to come, including one more MLB legend being added to the roster, plus local college baseball standouts.
