Voyagers Drop Rubber Match with Ogden
Great Falls, MT-The Voyagers surrendered four runs through the first two innings and eventually fell 10-4 to the Ogden Raptors in the series finale Wednesday night at Centene Stadium.
Great Falls, MT-The Voyagers surrendered four runs through the first two innings and eventually fell 10-4 to the Ogden Raptors in the series finale Wednesday night at Centene Stadium.
Ogden took two of three in the series. Great Falls (26-30, 4-14) fell to 19-13 at home this season. The Voyagers are 12-9 against the South Division. Ogden (37-20, 11-8) improved to 17-13 on the road. The Raptors are now 14-7 against the North.
The Raptors seized an early 2-0 lead with two sacrifice flies in the top of the 1st.
The Voyagers used two doubles in the bottom of the 2nd for their first run of the game.
A three-run 4th for Ogden broke it open.
After Ogden made it 8-1 with a run in the top of the 6th, Great Falls sent eight men to the plate and scored three times in the home half.
The Raptors outhit the Voyagers 16-to-8. Jeremy Arocho led Ogden with four hits and two runs scored. Jefrey Souffront collected three hits with two RBIs. Six Raptors posted multi-hit games. Bryce Bush, Amado Nunez, and Gunnar Troutwine all had two hits for Great Falls. Nunez scored two runs.
Justin Hagenman picked up the win in relief. Hagenman (1-0) went two-and-a-third and gave up three earned runs on three hits with five strikeouts and one walk.
