Drive Announces Amateur Baseball Schedule at Fluor Field

While Greenville Drive baseball is still a few months away, the organization and Fluor Field are set to kick-off the amateur baseball schedule in Downtown Greenville beginning on Tuesday, February 28. More than 25 collegiate and high school teams will take center stage at Fluor Field, with tickets now on sale here or by calling the Drive at (864) 240-4500.
“While we anxiously await the Drive’s Opening Day scheduled for Tuesday, April 11, we’re excited that Fluor Field will host top quality amateur baseball with a mix of college and high school games over the next month,” noted Drive General Manager, Eric Jarinko.
The amateur baseball season at Fluor Field begins with the Clemson Tigers and USC-Upstate Spartans on February 28th, with first pitch set for 4 PM.
Just four days later on Saturday, March 4th, the most anticipated game on the college schedule, the Reedy River Rivalry presented by ScanSource, returns to Fluor Field with Clemson squaring off against the University of Soutth Carolina Gamecocks at 1 PM.
Tickets for the Reedy River Rivalry presented by ScanSource are sold through both universities, with IPTAY and Gamecock Club Members having first-right of purchase. More information will be forthcoming regarding the Reedy River Rivalry Fan Fest on District 356, which will be complimentary for all fans to attend.
Bob Jones University will make its Fluor Field debut in 2023 with a pair of games in Downtown Greenville – Tuesday, March 7 versus Montreat and Tuesday, March 14 versus Columbia International.
Michigan State makes Fluor Field their “Spring Training” home for the 15th consecutive season, with four days of games. The Spartans play Wofford on Wednesday, March 8, before a weekend slate during the First Pitch Invitational March 10-12 which also features Western Carolina and Kansas. The Saturday games will be complimentary, as the Drive will host a “Fan Fest” at the ballpark with more details to come.

South Carolina and USC-Upstate return to Fluor Field for an evening showdown on Wednesday, March 8. The Duke Blue Devils will make their Fluor Field debut on Wednesday, March 15 versus Presbyterian College.
The final two collegiate games at Fluor Field feature the reining Division II National Champions, the North Greenville Crusaders, taking on Lander University on Tuesday, March 28, while Limestone College and Erskine College play on Wednesday, March 29.
Upstate high school baseball takes center stage at Fluor Field throughout the month of March, featuring 12 different high schools – Christ Church, St. Joseph’s, Wren, Greer, T.L. Hanna, Chapman, Greenville, J.L. Mann, Dorman, A.C. Flora, Riverside, and Eastside.
“Baseball is back in full force at Fluor Field,” added Drive President, Jeff Brown. “The full schedule of amateur games not only gives fans ample opportunity to watch great baseball before the Drive season, but also provides a unique experience for the players and coaches at a first-class facility.”
