Jones Named Eastern League Player of the Week
HARRISBURG, PA. - The Eastern League announced today that Harrisburg Senators outfielder Hunter Jones has been named the Eastern League Player of the Week for the week of July 16 to July 22. The 26-year-old is the fourth Senator to win player or pitcher of the week honors this season.

Jones hit .500 (10-for-20) with one double, one triple, one home run, eight RBI, five runs scored, three walks and an .800 slugging percentage across five games during the week. The Seattle, WA native began the week by hitting a walk-off grand slam, the fifth in Senators history and first since 2001, to cap the team's 6-3 comeback win over the Akron Rubber Ducks Monday night.
Jones had a hit in all five games (he has a seven-game hitting streak overall) and had multiple hits in four of the five games during the week. He was the Eastern League weekly leader in hits (10) and finished among the leaders in average (.500-2nd), on-base percentage (.600-2nd), OPS (1.400-2nd), triples (1-tied 2nd), RBIs (8-tied 2nd), slugging percentage (.800-3rd), runs scored (5-tied 6th), total bases (16-tied 6th), and stolen bases (1-tied 10th).
Jones, who is batting .333 with two home runs and 16 RBI in 41 games with the Senators this season, his first with the club, was signed by the Washington Nationals as a minor league free agent on January 27, 2018. He was originally selected by the Cleveland Indians in the 11th round of the 2010 draft from Lakewood High School in California.
