Greenville, SC- The Crawdads season came to a close on Thursday night as they lost Game 2 to the Greenville Drive by a score of 6-3.
The Crawdads jumped on the Drive early, getting a run in the first inning. Alejandro Osuna doubled into the left field corner and came home on a base hit by Maximo Acosta.
Greenville put a five-run frame in the second to take a 5-1 lead.
The ‘Dads took a run back in the top of the fourth to make it a three run game. Acosta walked, advanced on a single by Cody Freeman, and came home on a double by Geisel Cepeda.
Greenville pushed the lead back to four with a run in the sixth, bringing the score to 6-2.
The ‘Dads loaded the bases with no outs in the ninth, bringing the tying run to the plate but were only able to get one run in on a sacrifice fly.
Greenville took the series with victories on Tuesday and Thursday night, ending the Crawdads 2023 campaign.
