The passion the people of Corpus Christi share for their Houston Astros and Hooks is undeniable, ever present, and inspiring.
The Hooks not only plan to bring the Houston Astros' World Series Trophy to Whataburger Field for Astros World Series Trophy Night presented by Mike Shaw Automotive on April 16 & 17, but also guarantee that every fan who attends the contests against Northwest Arkansas has the opportunity to take a picture with this piece of Baseball history.
"The Astros certainly earned it in 2017, and our Coastal Bend community has earned this opportunity to connect with history," Hooks General Manager Wes Weigle said. "Everyone who wants one will get a picture with our guest of honor. This commitment to the fans speaks to the generosity of our front office, gameday staffers, the Aramark crew, and the Houston Astros organization. We will stay open all night to make this happen."
The Commissioner's Trophy will be showcased in the VIP deck, which is elevated behind the right-field fence, affording fans a view of the game while they wait in line.
