Spartanburg, S.C. — As the communities of South Carolina and Western North Carolina prepare for the holiday season in the wake of Hurricane Helene, the Hub City Spartanburgers wish all first responders, line workers, and those impacted by the storm a happy holiday season. The Spartanburgers extend their gratitude to those who have worked tirelessly to restore the communities of South Carolina and Western North Carolina.
In response to the storm’s devastation, the Hub City Spartanburgers released a “Hurricane Helene Relief Tee” on October 4th, 2024, with all proceeds going to organizations making a direct impact within the South Carolina and Western North Carolina communities. The Spartanburgers are excited to announce that over $12,000 has been raised through the Hurricane Helene Relief Tee initiative. Donations have been allotted to the selected partners of Appalachian Community Relief, Spartanburg-based United Way of the Piedmont, Samaritan’s Purse, and the Red Cross. These organizations have made incredible efforts to rebuild their communities in the wake of Hurricane Helene’s devastation. "United Way is so grateful to the Hub City Spartanburgers for their incredible support in raising Helene relief funds, which will support our community’s recovery from the long-term impacts of the storm,” said Paige Stephenson, President & CEO of United Way of the Piedmont. “We look forward to continuing to partner with such a dedicated team that recognizes the importance of giving back and making a positive impact in Spartanburg and beyond."
"We are incredibly thankful for everyone that rallied around and supported this campaign to help us give back to those most impacted by the storm," said Tyson Jeffers, General Manager of the Spartanburgers. "Shirts were purchased and shipped from all over the country, and we hope that everyone that has a shirt wears it proudly knowing that their contribution has made a positive difference in many people's lives."
We continue to have those impacted by the storm’s devastation, in South Carolina and Western North Carolina communities, in our thoughts as the holiday season approaches. There are a select number of Hurricane Helene Relief Tees still available for purchase, with proceeds being evenly distributed to partnered organizations.
