The Cardinals got the scoring started in the top of the fourth when
The Royals would get two back in the bottom of the fourth, but Johnson City exploded for four runs in the top of the fifth. After a walk and a single from
Burlington would score three in the bottom of the sixth to tie the game at five. In the bottom of the ninth, with the bases loaded the Royals won 6-5 on a walkoff hit batsman.
The Cardinals used two pitchers after Dionis Zamora.
With the loss tonight, the Cardinals have their longest losing streak of the season reach five games after suffering a four game sweep by Elizabethton.
The Cardinals take on the Royals tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. ET and then on Monday at 7:00 p.m. ET. They return home on Wednesday for a three game series against Bluefield.
