Marcucci enters his fourth season with Kannapolis after joining the organization as the Assistant General Manager in October of 2018. The 2022 season with the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers will be his 11th season working in Minor League Baseball. Prior to joining Kannapolis, he spent three seasons with the Wilmington Blue Rocks and four seasons with the Trenton Thunder. Marcucci was the Director of Corporate and Community Affairs with the Thunder and served as the Executive Director of Trenton Thunder Charities. Over the past few years, Marcucci has served on a variety of community and charitable organizations boards and committees. Marcucci has served as a Board of Director for United Way of Greater Mercer County and Advancing Opportunities. In addition, Marcucci was the Vice-chair of the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals and a committee member of the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals. During his time with the Thunder, Marcucci was named the 2018 Young Professional of the Year by the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce and a 2017 Champion for Business by the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce. Currently, he serves on the board of the Kannapolis YMCA and as the Vice-Chair of the Cabarrus County Hospitality & Tourism Academy for Cabarrus County Schools.

Marcucci is a graduate of West Virginia University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and minor in Sports and Exercise Psychology. A native of Woodstown, New Jersey, Marcucci and his wife Sarah now reside in Kannapolis, North Carolina.

Matt Millward | General Manager

Millward joined the organization in February 2019 after more than a decade of experience with two of the most successful franchises in Minor League Baseball. A native of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Matt is a graduate of Penn State University, with a degree in Business Management.

His start in baseball came in 2008 with the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, Triple-A Affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. During this time, Matt gained fundamental experience in ticket sales that laid the basis for a future career path in professional sports.

His next career stop led him to the Carolinas in 2010, when he joined the Charlotte Knights while the team called Knights Stadium in Fort Mill (SC) home. He played a pivotal role in strategic planning for the Knights' successful move to Uptown Charlotte in 2014 and ultimately rose through the ranks to become Charlotte's Vice President of Ticket Sales and Operations. His efforts contributed to the Knights' status as the MiLB leader in attendance for four seasons from 2014 through 2018. During this timeframe, Matt also served as a Board Member for Charlotte Knights Charities.

Walker Brooke | Ticket Sales Manager

A Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native Walker is in his fourth season with the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers. Walker began his tenure in North Carolina, as Ticket Sales Account Executive in January 2020 before being promoted to Senior Account Executive in January 2022. After a strong start to the 2022 season, Walker was promoted to his current role as Ticket Sales Manager in June 2022. As the ticket manager, Walker sells season ticket packages as well as group & hospitality experiences to companies and individuals. Walker also plans, coordinates, and executes all season ticket holder events for the team.

Walker graduated with distinction from the University of Oklahoma in May 2019, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and minor in Sport Management. While pursuing his degree, Walker worked in the Athletic Department as a Communications Intern. In this role, Walker worked closely with the department’s Sports Information Directors to prepare game notes for team’s upcoming matchups. Additionally, Walker assisted with providing live in-game social media updates, for the baseball, men’s & women’s basketball, and both gymnastics teams. During the 2019 baseball season, Walker helped grow the team's followers by 20% on Instagram

Patrick Hicks | Group Sales Manager

Patrick joined the organization in July 2021 as a Ticket Sales Account Executive and was promoted during the 2022 season to Group Sales Manager. Originally from Charlottesville, Virginia, he moved to Charlotte in April 2021 and really enjoys living in the South End area.

Patrick graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2019 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. In his free time, Patrick enjoys playing golf, basketball, and tennis as well as watching whatever sports are in season.

Alex Seufert | Ticket Sales Account Executive

A native of Sykesville, Maryland, Alex graduated from Catawba College in 2023 with his Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and a minor in Business Administration. Alex completed his internship with the Cannon Ballers during the 2021 season and joined the front office staff full time starting in 2023. His favorite part about working for the Cannon Ballers is connecting with fans on a personal level and making sure everybody is having a blast!

Alex is a lover of all sports, but is especially passionate about racing. In 2022, he joined Richard Childress Racing, one of the top teams in the NASCAR garage, completing a PR and Marketing internship with the team. When he’s not at the ballpark, you can find him hiking, helping the Athletic Department at his alma mater, racing go karts, or attending races across the national and grassroots levels.

Lauren Teer | Director of Ticket Operations

A Greensboro, NC native, Lauren is entering her second season with the Cannon Ballers. Over a decade in baseball has fostered a love for all things ticketing!

When not working, Lauren's favorite place to be is the beach or exploring a new place with friends and family. There is also a 99% chance you'll see her in the ballpark doting on her niece, Natalyn, aka baseballs next biggest fan, during games this season.

Lauren is super excited to be a part of the team in Kannapolis and can't wait to get to know all the fans. Next time you visit the box office make sure to stop by and say hello!

Brent Sneed | Director of Retail Operations

A North Carolina native and a graduate of Appalachian State University, Brent enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, hiking, fishing, and traveling. He brings years of retail experience gleaned from his time in another sports industry. As a lover of sports with a heart for baseball, Brent is excited to be a part of the Cannon Ballers’ family!

Joel Johnson | Digital Media Manager

Meet, Joel Johnson! Coming to us from Colorado, Joel is an avid sports fan, especially for his Colorado Rockies, and a deeply committed hat collector. He grew up playing baseball, where he found his first love of logo and uniform design. Through his love of art, combined with his love of sports, he began collecting hats and jerseys with the desire to one day work in the design side of the sports world. Joel is joining our front office staff to take on the role of Digital Media Manager, with the responsibilities of all things Graphic Design, Social Media management and content production, as well as all other digital media needs!

As a Colorado State University Alumni (GO RAMS!), Joel graduated first in 2017 with a Bachelors of Arts in Art Education. Then he graduated once again in 2020 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. Since then he has been a highly successful designer in multiple areas of the design world, having worked for, and with, many different teams, businesses, the Clink Room, and now the Cannon Ballers.

Joel is excited to have moved to North Carolina, with his wife Kelly, where he dove head first into supporting the local sports franchises/college teams, and is absolutely in love with the Kannapolis, Charlotte, Concord area. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his dogs, going to sports events with his wife, smoking up some delicious BBQ, playing guitar and visiting new areas in the great new state he calls home.

Trace Whitley | Director of Video Production and Entertainment

A Charlotte, NC native, Trace has just recently joined the organization after working the last 2 years with the Charlotte Knights in the video department. Along with the Knights, he has done freelance work for Charlotte FC, Carolina Panthers and Wake Forest Athletics. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends, family and cheering for the Panthers.

He is looking forward to a new chapter in his sports career with Kannapolis and is excited to see what it has to hold for the future!

Trevor Wilt | Director of Entertainment & Fan Engagement

A native of Concord, North Carolina, Wilt enters his 3rd season in Kannapolis after graduating from UNC Charlotte in 2017 with a degree in Communications and a minor in Journalism. During the off-season, Wilt calls men's basketball games for the Charlotte 49ers as the color analyst alongside the Charlotte Knights' legendary broadcaster, Matt Swierad.

As a student at Charlotte, he was the play-by-play broadcaster for seven different sports, including baseball, his true passion. Along with broadcasting, Wilt was the sports editor for the campus paper, the Niner Times, where he also hosted a weekly sports radio show that highlighted sports around the Charlotte area.

In his free time, you can typically find Wilt watching The Office, playing/watching sports or hanging with his friends and family. Feel free to come up to the press box and talk baseball with him and his radio partner, Ron Burgundy (yes, he has a 6-foot cutout of his favorite movie character).

Tim Siegel | Head Groundskeeper

The man who plays with dirt and grass, Tim was born and raised in Miami, FL where he started his career with the Miami Marlins in 2016. Since then, Tim has worked for 3 other MLB teams as well as the prestigious IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. When Tim is not is at the ballpark, you can catch him trying to survive Call of Duty lobbies or exploring the great outdoors with his beautiful wife and son.

Austin McIntire | Facility Operations Manager

A North Carolina native from Thomasville and a graduate of Catawba College. Austin enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as playing and watching sports. As a baseball lover, Austin is excited to begin his sports Career with the Cannon Ballers!

Jonathan Null | Assistant Manager of Grounds & Facility Operations

Hey everyone, meet Jonathan Null! Jonathan is a North Carolina native (Richfield) who grew up loving and playing baseball for 13 years. With a deep love for baseball, Jonathan is no stranger to our organization, having grown up attending Kannapolis Intimidators games.

A graduate of Pfieffer University, Jonathan started out in the Ballers organization in 2023 as a game day grounds crew staff member. From there, through his hard work, he was able to make his way up to the Assistant Manager of Grounds & Facility Operations position.

In his free time, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his family & friends, going to the gym, fishing and occasionally playing in slow pitch softball tournaments.

Don Petrere | Director of Food and Beverage Operations

Originally from the north, I have grown to love and call the south my own, except for sweet tea! I have a passion for sports and food that has served me well in my 10-plus years in food service having worked with the NBA, NASCAR, NCAA, and Minor League Baseball. Having a job that allows me to combine both is priceless and I look forward to elevating the experiences for all our guests here in Kannapolis each year. In my spare time, I enjoy playing golf or traveling to other ballparks watching games and always looking for new and exciting food concepts.

Dan Helotie | Media Relations Coordinator

Dan Helotie returns to the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers for his third season as Media Relations Coordinator and main play-by-play broadcaster. A native of Tampa, Florida and Charlotte, North Carolina, Helotie is responsible for all broadcasting duties, written publications and interview requests for the players, coaches and front office members for the Ballers.

Helotie, who will be in his fifth season in Minor League Baseball in 2024, began as a game day press box staff member in 2019 before serving as Press Box Assistant in 2021. He is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Writing, Rhetoric & Digital Studies from the University of North Carolina Charlotte (Go Niners!), where he also serves as a media relations student assistant. Helotie also freelances in the MiLB offseason as a collegiate statistician for four different sports.

As one of the youngest full play-by-play broadcasters in MiLB at just 23, Helotie brings an unmatched passion for the game of baseball to every broadcast. Off the microphone, he loves spending time with his beautiful fiancée Lauren, watching hockey, trying new restaurants, traveling and playing a lot of pickleball.
