Bats To Host First-Ever Media Hot Dog Eating Contest

Competition to take place on Tuesday, July 3
June 29, 2018

The first-ever Louisville Bats Media Hot Dog Eating Contest will take place at Louisville Slugger Field prior to the July 3 Fireworks Extravaganza game on Tuesday, July 3. The contest will begin at approximately 6:15 PM on the field. Gates open at 5:45 PM. 

The first-ever Louisville Bats Media Hot Dog Eating Contest will take place at Louisville Slugger Field prior to the July 3 Fireworks Extravaganza game on Tuesday, July 3. The contest will begin at approximately 6:15 PM on the field. Gates open at 5:45 PM. 

- The competition will last 5 minutes. Whoever eats the most hot dogs (bun included) in the five minute timeframe will be crowned the 2018 Hot Dog Eating Contest Champion.
- Hot Dogs will be presented by Centerplate.
- Water (or Pepsi product of choice) will be provided to the competitors.
- Gameday staff will be administering the event, with Bats associate broadcaster Matt Schumacker hosting the event.

With gates opening on Tuesday at 5:45, the Hot Dog Eating Contest will be available for fans with a game ticket.
