Memphis got off to a hot start, with

Las Vegas got two back in the bottom of the third, but Memphis answered right back with two of its own coming on a two-run Kelly single. The two teams traded single runs in the next three half-innings, and Memphis added another tally in the top of the seventh to make the score 9-4.
Herget worked 5.2 innings, allowing four runs on eight hits, and he struck out four. He improved to 8-7 on the season.
