Bohm delivers walk-off win to Phillies
Alec Bohm is heating up at the plate and it culminated Thursday in one of his best games in the big leagues. Philadelphia's top prospect matched a season high with three hits and delivered a walk-off sacrifice fly in the 10th inning to send the Phillies to a 6-5 victory

Philly manager Joe Girardi was not surprised to see Bohm put the ball in play during a key moment.
"I do [like our chances] because he's not a guy that strikes out a lot," Girardi said. "Knock on wood, he's a contact guy that has power. ... He had a great day today, we gave him that day off and he's come back on fire again and it's great to see. When you get that production from the bottom of your lineup, him and [Andrew Knapp] were on base all day."
Bohm came into the afternoon with hits in three straight games, extending his modest streak to four with a single to left field off
He fanned in the sixth against righty
The third baseman's biggest plate appearance of the day came in the 10th and he delivered on just one pitch. Bohm ambushed the first offering from southpaw
The 24-year-old, who also posted a three-hit game on Aug. 23 against Atlanta, is hitting .317 with an .867 OPS through his first 63 at-bats in the Majors.
Bohm, who batted .293/.368/.474 in 165 Minor League games coming into this year, has impressed his skipper early in his time with the big club.
"I've said all along I think this kid is really gonna hit and he's also going to hit for power because I think his approach is great," Girardi said. "He is not a guy that just looks to leave the ballpark, he looks to drive the ball gap-to-gap. And as you mature as a player and as a man, those gap-to-gap become homers. I believe this kid really knows how to hit and it's going to continue."
