Dustin Fowler sees the youth movement taking place in the Bronx. On Sunday, the Yankees No. 9 prospect made sure the organization knows there is more to come.
Fowler enjoyed his first multi-homer game and tied his career high with five RBIs, but the effort wasn't enough as visiting Scranton/Wilkes-Barre fell to Buffalo, 9-6, in Sunday's doubleheader finale. The Bisons swept the double dip, rallying in the first game for a 4-3 win at Coca-Cola Field.

Fowler helped get the RailRiders off to a quick start in the second game. New York's No. 12 prospect Tyler Wade led off the game with a walk and scored on second-ranked Clint Frazier's double to center. Fowler followed with his first Triple-A home run, a blast to left-center field off Bisons starter Mark Dermody. The 22-year-old struck out in the fourth, but after Wade singled and Frazier doubled in the fifth, Fowler connected on his second roundtripper to tie the game. He went down swinging in his last at-bat to end the game.

He delivered a breakout season in 2016 with Double-A Trenton, hitting .281/.311/.458 with 57 extra-base hits and a career-high 88 RBIs in 132 games. His 15 triples were the second-highest total in the Minors.
Wade reached safely in all four plate appearances, going 3-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored. Frazier finished 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI. Buffalo's Jason Leblebijian went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs.
Christian Lopes slugged a walk-off two-run homer in the opener for the Bisons.
