Women's History Month

Women's History Month is a digital content series that highlights each of the women on the Myrtle Beach Pelicans staff.

Kayleigh Aitchison

Kayleigh Aitchison joins the Pelicans production team in 2023 as the club's newest hire. She is a graduate of Horry-Georgetown Technical College and spent time at The Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach prior to joining the team.

Cassie Wishner

Coastal Carolina graduate Cassie Wishner joined the Pelicans in January as the Partnership Services Coordinator after doing similar work with the New York Jets.

Katie Trott

Katie Trott joins the 2023 staff as a retail assistant. She was previously in Memphis with fellow Pelicans assistant Andrea Barr. As she continues her professional sports journey, she credits Blair Hoke with the Salem Red Sox and Sarah Crenshaw with Tulsa FC as influences.

Shannon Barbee

Shannon Barbee has been the epitome of consistency and and dedication. She surpassed 700 consecutive games with Myrtle Beach in 2019 and her work in the box office has helped the organization continue to set attendance records season after season.

Anne Frost

Anne Frost is the longest tenured employee of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. The Senior Director of Finance has been with the team since shovels went into the ground to begin construction of the ballpark and has been an indispensable piece of the organization.

Kelsey Long

With nearly 20 years of experience in baseball, Pelicans General Manager Kristin Call has led Myrtle Beach to numerous marketing and promotional accolades and several attendance records since her arrival in 2013. She was named the Carolina League's Female Executive of the Year in 2015 and 2019, and was Baseball America's Minor League Baseball Executive of the Year in 2022.

With nearly 20 years of experience in baseball, Pelicans General Manager Kristin Call has led Myrtle Beach to numerous marketing and promotional accolades and several attendance records since her arrival in 2013. She was named the Carolina League's Female Executive of the Year in 2015 and 2019, and was Baseball America's Minor League Baseball Executive of the Year in 2022.

Andrea Barr

The second marketing and sponsorship activation assistant, Andrea Barr joins the 2023 Pelicans staff after previously working for the Memphis Redbirds and Memphis 901 FC. An athlete growing up and into her time in college, Andrea graduated with a degree in Sports Communications in 2022.

Kalin Eske

Kalin Eske joins the Pelicans staff in 2023 as a marketing and sponsorship activation assistant. She's a 2021 Coastal Carolina University graduate and is set to earn her Masters in Business Administration in May. Kalin has played volleyball for over 15 years, including 5 as a student-athlete on CCU's beach volleyball team.

Beth Freitas

There are 10 women in the Pelicans front office that will help navigate the 2023 season. During Women's History Month in March we'll highlight each one; first up is Office Manager Beth Freitas!
