MANCHESTER, NH – On Wednesday, August 26, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats announced that 18-time Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Champion Joey Chestnut is headed to Delta Dental Stadium for New Hampshire’s game against the Harrisburg Senators on Thursday, September 10. Fans can purchase a limited quantity of VIP tickets to the meet and greet with Joey Chestnut. VIP tickets start at $75 and include a guaranteed meet and greet with Chestnut, plus a Puritan Backroom chicken tender basket with fries and a 16 oz soda at the game.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early for Thursday’s game; gates open at 4:30 PM. The Joey Chestnut VIP Ticket Package presented by the Puritan Backroom comes with access to a meet and greet with Joey Chestnut, a basket of Puritan Backroom tenders with fries and a 16 oz beverage at the September 10 game.
To celebrate the Puritan Backroom’s 50th anniversary of the invention of the chicken tender in 1976, Chestnut will take part in a buffalo tender eating competition on the field after New Hampshire's Thursday game on September 10. As for who will be challenging the champ – the Puritan Backroom is hosting a qualifying chicken tender eating competition on Wednesday, September 2, at 6:00 PM. Ten participants will be selected to participate in the qualifying event, and for those that advance, two teams of three will compete against Chestnut in a race to eat 50 buffalo chicken tenders, courtesy of the Puritan Backroom, before Joey eats all 50 himself.
“To have the privilege to have someone like Joey Chestnut come to our ballpark and be around our fans and be a part of a Fisher Cats gameday is so exciting,” said Fisher Cats General Manager, Taylor Fisher. “Joey is an American classic, and to be able to welcome him to Manchester with some Puritan Backroom tenders is something I’m thrilled to have our fans be a part of.”
Chestnut is most notoriously known for his dominance at the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest and has won the Mustard Yellow Belt for a world record 18 times. The Fisher Cats are one of several clubs on the Diamond Baseball Holdings roster, welcoming Joey Chestnut to their lineup of family-friendly ballpark experiences this season.
