CONEY ISLAND, NY (June 22, 2021) – Jersey Shore rode an early 7-0 victory into a 7-5 triumph against the Brooklyn Cyclones, the High-A affiliate of the New York Mets, Tuesday night in the series opener at Maimonides Park.

• Brooklyn responded from a 7-0 deficit, scoring five runs in the fourth inning. Francisco Alvarez yanked a two-run double, Joe Genord drilled an RBI single, and Adrian Hernandez’s two-run single cut it to 7-5 against Jersey Shore starter Dominic Pipkin.
• Jersey Shore’s DJ Stewart and Casey Martin each homered against Brooklyn’s Jaison Vilera. Stewart’s solo smash made it 1-0 in the second, while Martin’s three-run jack, his first in High-A, was part of the BlueClaws’ five-run third inning.
