On Tuesday, March 2, the Bulls were informed by Major League Baseball that the start of the 2021 season has been delayed.
See below for a statement from Mike Birling, Durham Bulls Vice President - Baseball Operations:
"Major League Baseball informed us this evening the Commissioner has determined, for health and safety reasons, to delay the Triple-A season by approximately four weeks. Major League Clubs will utilize the alternate site arrangement for all Triple-A teams for the beginning of the season. While this isn’t the news we wanted to hear, we are in agreement the health and safety of our fans, players and staff are of utmost importance. We appreciate the commitment and patience of our incredible fans as we work through the latest news."
