EL PASO - June 28, 2022 - What better way to celebrate America's pastime than with three nights of Fireworks Spectacular! The Chihuahuas will be lighting up the night sky for three nights as part of the GECU Independence Day Celebration as they take on the Los Angeles Dodgers affiliate, Oklahoma City, in a six-game series beginning today through Sunday, July 3.
The series kicks off with three nights of food & beverage specials starting with Taco Tues & Brews featuring $2 tacos and $2 Estrella Jalisco. Wednesday is Wine & 9 Wednesday, presented by Trinchero Family Estates, that includes $4 single serve wines & a $9 small Loaded Nacho Bowl. Fans can enjoy a $2 special night on Thrifty Thursday, presented by Speaking Rock Entertainment, featuring a slew of $2 specials including 12oz margaritas, 12oz Estrella Jalisico Can, 16oz Pepsi, hot dog, and small popcorn.
The GECU Independence Day Celebration begins Friday with the players wearing Stars & Stripes specialty jerseys that will be auctioned off to support non-profit organizations around El Paso. The auction begins Thursday at noon and fans can place their bids by texting "BID" to 844-311-5007. The auction will conclude on the final out of the game on July 3.
As part of Friday's game, the Chihuahuas Team Shop will sell the annual Stars & Stripes New Era 5950 cap. Fans through the gates on Friday will be the first eligible to purchase. Any remaining caps will be open to the public at 10 a.m. Saturday.
The series concludes with three nights of Fireworks Spectacular choreographed to America's favorite patriotic music.

The specialty cap can be seen across minor and major league teams around the country. The caps will only be sold in the Chihuahuas Team Shop. They will not be available online. Fans who attend the game on Friday, will have the first opportunity to purchase the cap. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
