BILOXI, MS – Behind two doubles and three RBI from Noah Campbell, the Biloxi Shuckers (19-30) snapped their 10-game losing streak with an 8-5 win over the Pensacola Blue Wahoos (26-23) at Shuckers Ballpark on Friday night.

The Blue Wahoos struck first three batters in with an RBI groundout from Joe Mack, scoring Jakob Marsee from third. In the second, the Shuckers responded and tied the game at one with an RBI double from Noah Campbell, scoring Carlos Rodriguez from second, who doubled to begin the inning. Pensacola retook the lead with a two-run home run from Zach Zubia in the third. Biloxi responded in the bottom half with a single from Mike Boeve and an error on the play that allowed Darrien Miller to score. The Shuckers tied the game at three later in the frame with Rodriguez’s second hit of the game, an RBI single to right.

In the sixth, the Shuckers took their first lead of the night with a two-RBI double from Noah Campbell with the bases loaded, making it 5-3. The double was Campbell’s second of the night and drove in his second and third RBI of the game. The lead extended to 6-3 with a sacrifice fly from Zavier Warren. Ethan Murray then gave the Shuckers their fourth run of the inning with an RBI single to left. The Shuckers took an 8-3 lead with a sacrifice fly from Mike Boeve, capping a five-run frame, the most for Biloxi in an inning since they scored seven on May 10, 2024, against the Montgomery Biscuits.

In the eighth, the Blue Wahoos struck back with a two-run home run from Joe Mack, but Blake Holub locked down his first Double-A save of the year with 1.1 scoreless relief innings. TJ Shook (3-6) earned the win after striking out five over 3.2 innings while Chandler Jozwiak (1-3) took the loss for Pensacola.

At the plate for Biloxi, Mike Boeve (2-for-3), Carlos Rodriguez (3-for-4) and Noah Campbell (2-for-4) all tallied multiple hits. The Shuckers also went 5-for-11 with runners in scoring position, the best mark of their current 12-game homestand.

The Shuckers return to Shuckers Ballpark on Saturday night with a 6:05 p.m. first pitch against Pensacola. Bradley Blalock (3-1, 2.70) is set to start for Biloxi against Paul Campbell (5-1, 2.04). The Shuckers will wear their specialty Marvel-themed jerseys for Marvel's Defenders of the Diamond Night which will be up for auction following the game. Captain America will also be in attendance for meet-and-greet opportunities. The Shuckers will also present a donation to Grace’s Home of Heroes prior to first pitch through the team’s Heart of a Shucker Community Fund.
