66ers Fall in 2017 Finale 11-4 at Lancaster

Lancaster, CA- The Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino fell to Lancaster 11-4 in their season finale at The Hangar on Monday. The loss dropped the Sixers overall record to 65-75 while they finished the second half 35-35.
The Sixers got multi-hit games from first baseman Jared Walsh and shortstop Connor Justus. Each man had a double and a single while Justus added a base-on-balls. The Sixers took nine walks in the game but were 3-for-14 with runners in scoring position. Ryan Clark (1-4) took the loss for the Sixers allowing four runs on nine hits in three innings. The JetHawks (79-61, 41-29) had 19 hits in the game including six doubles and three homers. Five of the ten Lancaster singles were infield hits. Sam Hilliard homered twice while Wes Rogers and Hamlet Marte each had three-hit games. Every JetHawks' starter had a hit and all but one had multi-hit games as Lancaster tied a Cal League record by batting .308 as a team for the season. Max Schuh (2-5) was credited with the win for the JetHawks tossing two scoreless innings.
The 66ers next game is April 5, 2018 at San Manuel Stadium versus the San Jose Giants with first pitch slated for 7:05 pm. The contest can be seen and heard live at 66ers.com.
