GRAND CHUTE, WI - Wisconsin Timber Rattlers starting pitcher Adam Hill tossed six shutout innings and received enough offensive support for a 2-0 win over the Burlington Bees in game one of a doubleheader at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium.
Hill got into a bit of a jam in the top of the third inning by walking the first two Burlington batters he faced. He got out of that inning with a popout, a strikeout, and a ground out.

The Rattlers (8-11) went to work in the bottom of the third to give Hill the lead. Brice Turang moved his hitting streak to ten games with a one-out single. He moved to second on a wild pitch. Yeison Coca drove in Turang with a single to left and the Rattlers went up 1-0.

Burlington starter Jose Soriano ran into trouble in the bottom of the fourth as Wisconsin loaded the bases on a walk to Je'Von Ward, a single by Gabriel Garc
ía, and a walk to Jesús Lujano. Ben Morrison relieved Soriano and he minimized the damage by only allowing one run in the frame. Antonio Piñero got Ward home on a grounder to the hole short and the only play the Bees had was a force play at second to retire Lujano.

Hill went six innings, walked four, and struck out eight while allowing just one hit and retiring the last twelve batters he faced in the game. The eight strikeouts in the game set a new single-game high as a professional for Hill.

Michael Mediavilla entered the game for the top of the seventh and retired the first two batters he faced. Gleyvin Pineda kept the hopes alive for the Bees (13-8) with a two-out, infield single to bring the tying run to the plate. Mediavilla was able to close out the game with a strikeout for his second save of the season.
