Adolfo named CL Player of the Month for April

In 24 April contests, Adolfo, who is rated by MLB Pipeline as the 10th-best prospect in the White Sox system, posted an impressive .308/.369/.549 batting line. His five homers were tops in the circuit, while his 21 RBIs were tied for the best in the league. The 21-year-old also registered eight multi-hit efforts and five games of two or more runs driven in during the opening month.
The Dominican Republic native has now taken home two Carolina League awards this season. Adolfo was named the league's Player of the Week from April 5-15, when he posted a .395 average with five doubles, two homers and 10 RBIs to begin the 2018 campaign. He also finished that stretch with an eight-game hitting streak that included five multi-hit games.
Entering play Thursday, Adolfo is tied for the Carolina League lead in homers (five) and is second in the circuit in RBIs (22). Meanwhile, his slugging percentage (.574) is third in the CL and his batting average (.319) is seventh. He currently boasts a team-best mark in homers and RBIs.
