KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (May 6, 2017) - With two on and two away in the bottom of the ninth inning, Micker Adolfo singled home the tiebreaking run to give the Intimidators a 7-6 walk-off win over the Asheville Tourists on Saturday night at Intimidators Stadium supported by Carolinas HealthCare System. Kannapolis (15-13) picks up its second walk-off win of the year and moves to two games over .500 for the second time.
Adolfo finished 2-for-4 with an RBI, two runs scored and a walk. He improved his season-long hitting streak to nine games. Third baseman Zach Remillard drove in four runs in a 3-for-4 performance at the plate with two extra-base hits.

Kevin Escorcia picked up his first win of the season as the second pitcher out of the bullpen in relief of starter Chris Comito. Escorcia (1-0) struck out five batters and allowed just one hit in two scoreless innings of work.
After falling behind 1-0 in the top of the first inning on an unearned run, the Intimidators answered with three in the bottom of the first. With two outs and the bases loaded, Remillard hit a double down the left field line clearing the bases to make it 3-1.
The Intimidators fell into a deeper hole, 6-3, after runs in each of the first four innings for the Tourists. However, Kannapolis tied the game after two in the fourth, and one in the fifth as Remillard doubled home Adolfo to tie it.
The game advanced without further scoring until the bottom of the ninth inning. Joel booker led off the frame with a single and came around to score on Adolfo's hit.
Kannapolis continues its seven-game homestand with the third game of a four-game series against Asheville on Sunday as LHP Bernardo Flores (4-1, 3.34 ERA) takes the mound against the Tourists' RHP Alejandro Requena (0-1, 1.48 ERA) at 2:05 p.m. Gates open at 1:00 p.m. Sunday is Kid's Day featuring a pregame autograph session with your favorite Intimidators players as well as postgame kid's run the bases.
