Bridgewater, New Jersey - In a flurry of transactions, the New York Yankees have announced the promotion of No. 20 prospect C Agustin Ramirez and No. 24 prospect RHP Jack Neely from the Double-A Somerset Patriots to the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.

Over 89 career games with Somerset dating back to his initial Double-A call-up on August 8, 2023, Ramirez slashed .261/.338/.478 with 18 HR and 60 RBI.

Playing 58 games in Somerset to begin the 2024 season, Ramirez departs as this season’s Eastern League leader with 16 HR, 49 RBI, 130 TB, 31 XBH, and a .942 OPS.

After a two-run double in his final game with Somerset on Tuesday, Ramirez concludes his tenure with the Patriots having hit safely in 10 of his last 12, over which he is 20-for-53 (.377) with 4 HR, 14 RBI and 8 XBH.

The 22-year-old from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic was initially signed by the Yankees as an International Free Agent on July 12, 2018. Following the 2023 season, where Ramirez batted .271 with a career-high 18 HR across three levels of the Yankees organization, he was added to the Yankees' 40-man roster.

Since being promoted to Somerset on August 8, 2023, Neely has pitched to a 2.59 ERA over 33 appearances with 77 strikeouts in 48.2 innings and seven saves. Neely’s seven saves with the Patriots are tied for the second most in the team's Double-A era history.

The Yankees' 11th round pick in 2021 out of Ohio State, Neely’s 51 K in 31 IP this season for the Patriots is good for a 14.81 K/9, leading the Eastern League among pitchers with more than 20 IP.

The towering 6-foot-8 right-hander was named a Yankees Organizational All-Star in 2023, posting a 2.17 ERA between High-A Hudson Valley and Double-A Somerset. He was one of only seven pitchers to complete fewer than 70 IP and record at least 100 K last season.

Both Ramirez and Neely will be making their Triple-A debuts.

Additionally, RHP Jesus Liranzo has been promoted from Double-A Somerset to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, and C/INF Jesus Rodriguez and RHP McKinley Moore have been promoted to Somerset from High-A Hudson Valley.

Liranzo pitched in 23 games out of the bullpen over the past two seasons for Somerset, posting a 5-2 record and 6.43 ERA. He began the 2024 season on the Patriots' 7-day injured list, pitching to a 4.32 ERA in seven games this season for Somerset following his activation on May 21st.

Over 56 games with Hudson Valley ahead of his promotion, Rodriguez slashed .332/.412/.507 with 5 HR and 33 RBI. The 22-year-old from La Victoria, Venezuela, was initially signed by the Yankees as an international free agent on July 2, 2018.

Rodriguez was named a Dominican Summer League Mid-Season All-Star in his first professional season in 2019, batting .310 with 2 HR and a .955 OPS over 18 games as a member of the DSL Yankees.

Making his stateside debut in 2022, Rodriguez played in 37 games for the FCL Yankees, slashing .348/.434/.576 with 14 HR and 24 RBI. Rodriguez led qualified Yankees farmhands in batting average and slugging percentage, and was tied for first in OPS (1.010) on his way to being named a Florida Complex League Postseason All-Star.

In 2023, Rodriguez was named a Yankees Organization All-Star following his full-season debut, splitting the season between Class-A Tampa and High-A Hudson Valley. Rodriguez combined to hit .310 with a .849 OPS over 110 games between the two levels.

The 5-10, 182lb Rodriguez also adds versatility to the Patriots roster, having played right field, left field, third base, first base, and catcher during his time with the Yankees organization. Currently in his fifth season with the Yankees organization, Rodriguez will be making his Double-A debut.

Moore comes to Somerset with 130 games of professional experience under his belt, having made his MLB debut in 2023 with the Philadelphia Phillies.

Initially a 14th round draft pick by the Chicago White Sox in 2019, Moore reached High-A with Chicago before being traded to Philadelphia in 2022 in exchange for outfielder Adam Haseley. On April 4, 2023, Moore was promoted to the major leagues for the first time. The 6-foot-6, 225 lb right-hander made his MLB debut on April, 10, 2023 and would pitch in three games for the Phillies, striking out two. He was then optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley, where injuries limited him to only 20.1 innings, including rehab stints with Class-A Clearwater and Double-A Reading.

He was designated for assignment on February 14, 2024, by the Phillies before being claimed off waivers by the Yankees.

Moore began the season on the 15-day injured list with right knee bursitis before he was activated on April 25th and designated for assignment by the Yankees. He was sent outright to the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders after clearing waivers and has since spent time with Scranton, High-A Hudson Valley, and the rookie-level FCL Yankees this season, pitching in nine games including three starts across all three levels.
