Albuquerque's' Offense Comes Alive to Snap Losing Streak

After scoring two runs during their last series, the Isotopes' offense came alive on Friday night as Albuquerque (50-55) defeated the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (55-47), 9-1, at Security Service Field. The win snaps what was a four-game losing streak for the Isotopes.

Josh Fuentes put on quite the performance at the plate, finishing the night 3-for-5 with a double, home run (10) and four RBI. Fuentes is the first player in all of Minor League Baseball to record 10 doubles, 10 triples and 10 home runs in 2018.
Ryan McMahon continues his hot month at the plate as he went 2-for-5 with a double, home run (11) and two RBI. The 23-year-old is now hitting .333 (32-for-99) with eight doubles, two triples, six home runs and 24 RBI in July.
On the mound, David Holmberg shut down the Sky Sox during his 5.0 innings of work. The southpaw did not allow a run while striking out seven, improving to 5-5 on the year.
The Isotopes and Sky Sox resume their four-game series on Saturday evening from Security Service Field. First pitch for game two is set for 6:00 p.m.
