CHARLESTON, S.C.- The South Atlantic League has announced the rosters for the 59th annual All-Star Game, naming RiverDogs third baseman Chris Hess as a Southern Division starter and outfielder Steven Sensley as a utility outfielder. Both Yankees farmhands will represent the RiverDogs at First National Bank Field in Greensboro on Tuesday, June 19 in the annual mid-summer classic.
Hess, 23, has been a consistent run-producer for the RiverDogs all season long, slashing .284/.387/.451 with five home runs and 19 RBI in 48 games. The former Rhode Island Ram's .838 OPS ranks 15th in the league. The second-year pro has been one of the most improved hitters in the Yankees organization this year after batting just .185 in 39 games after being drafted in the 17th round last season.
Sensley, 22, has showcased premium power in the heart of the RiverDogs order, leading the Charleston ball club with seven home runs while batting .272 with a .478 slugging percentage and driving in 18 runs in 52 games. The former Lousiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajun ranks T-2nd in the league with 14 doubles. The lefty masher has five of the 14 home runs hit at Riley Park this year, statistically the toughest place to go yard in the SAL circuit.
2018 marks the third consecutive season that the RiverDogs have had multiple All-Stars featured in the summer showcase.

The RiverDogs (26-29) start a six-game road trip on Tuesday night, taking on the Columbia Fireflies, the Class A affiliate of the New York Mets, in a three-game series at Spirit Communications Park, the site of last year's All-Star showcase. Tuesday night's 7:05 p.m. start will be broadcast on WTMA 1250 AM and online streaming at riverdogs.com and the RiverDogs TuneIn radio station.
RiverDogs single-game tickets are now available for the 2018 campaign, the club's 25th season as the RiverDogs and their "175th season in dog years." Ticket information can be secured by contacting the box office at (843) 577-DOGS (3647) or online at www.riverdogs.com/tickets.
