Portland's third lead came on a solo-homer from Bobby Dalbec, tying him with Hunter Owen, who homered in earlier in the game.
Altoona scored twice off Denyi Reyes (1-8) in the seventh inning to seal the win. Brett Pope tied the game with a run-scoring single, and Jared Oliva delivered a game-winning RBI single off Jake Cosart (run charged to Reyes).
Despite the homer allowed to Dalbec, Joel Cesar (1-1) worked two innings to earn the win. Matt Eckelman pitched a perfect ninth to earn his seventh save of the season. Reyes pitched 6+ innings on seven hits five runs but tied a season-high with eight strikeouts (fanned eight Curve on May 24th at Hadlock Field).
The Sea Dogs struck for two in the first inning off the opener Austin Coley. Jarren Duran hit the first pitch of the game for a triple and scored on a single from Jhon Nunez. Later in the inning, Brett Netzer (3-for-4) delivered an RBI single. Altoona tied the game in their first inning on a two-run double by Logan Hill.
In the fourth, Jeremy Rivera put the 'Dogs in front 3-2 with a single off Beau Susler, but Altoona tied it on Owen's 14th homer.
The 'Dogs had 11 hits, as the entire lineup reached base safely.
Portland and the Altoona Curve (Pirates affiliate) continue their three-game series from Peoples Natural Gas Field on Wednesday night at 6:30. RHP Tanner Houck (5-4, 4.24) makes his 12th start of the year for Portland, and Lefty Sean Brady (2-3, 4.97) is on the mound for the seventh time for Altoona.
