Altoona, Pennsylvania – The Altoona Curve (14-17) defeated the Somerset Patriots (19-11) by a score of 2-1 in 10 innings at Peoples Natural Gas Field on Friday evening.

In the 10th, Aaron Shackelford drove home Connor Scott on an infield single to win it for the Curve.
After an hour-long rain delay to start the game, both teams remained scoreless until the bottom of the seventh inning when Tucupita Marcano plated the first run on a groundout.

An RBI single by Jeisson Rosario tied the game up in the ninth. Rosario went 3-for-4 with the lone RBI for Somerset in the game.
Randy Vasquez pitched 5.2 scoreless and hitless innings and struck out five in a no decision.
Altoona pitchers recorded 19 strikeouts, including eight by Travis MacGregor, who went four innings. Will Kobos (1-0) picked up the win with a scoreless inning pitched.
Derek Craft (1-3) suffered the loss after he allowed a run on two hits in 0.1 innings pitched.
