CLEARWATER, Fla. - Harold Arauz carved up the Miracle lineup on Sunday, spinning a seven-inning no-hitter in a 2-0 win over Fort Myers in game two of a doubleheader at Spectrum Field.
Arauz carried a perfect game into the seventh, before issuing a one-out walk to Brandon Lopez.
That would be the only baserunner of the ballgame for Fort Myers (55-50, 22-15). Arauz induced a comebacker that caromed off his glove and out to second to get Mitchell Kranson for the second out, and finished it off when Zander Weil flew out to center to end the ballgame.

The no-no for Arauz was the first in the Florida State League this year, and the first for Clearwater since July 10 last year when Drew Anderson, Will Morris, and Vìctor Arano combined on a nine-inning no-hitter against the St. Lucie Mets.
Clearwater (57-50, 19-18) earned the split of the doubleheader, falling 4-0 in game one before bouncing back in a big way in the nightcap.
Arauz (4-2) racked up a career-high 10 strikeouts in the seven-inning gem. He worked consistently ahead in the count, going 17-for-22 in first-pitch strikes, and throwing 58-of-76 total (76%) in the strike zone.
The Threshers gave him a lead to work with early, facing starter Keaton Steele (2-6). Zach Green ripped a triple off the wall in left-center in the second inning, and Jose Pujols brought him in with a two-out single up the middle to put Clearwater in front, 1-0.
Clearwater tacked on one more for insurance in the bottom of the sixth, after Green and Derek Campbell greeted Alex Muren with back-to-back singles. One out later, Austin Bossart put down a bunt single to the right side, scoring Green and extending the lead to 2-0.
Arauz took it the rest of the way.

In the first three games of the series, Clearwater starting pitchers have combined to permit only one run on two hits total across 18 innings of work. JoJo Romero pitched the first seven innings of a combined one-hitter on Saturday, and Ranger Suárez hurled four perfect frames before yielding a leadoff single in the fifth in the doubleheader opener.
Rain forced Suarez's early exit, as the game entered a delay with a man on and nobody out in the top of the fifth.
After a two-hour hiatus, JD Hammer came on to make his Threshers debut when the game resumed.
A wild pitch allowed Wiel to advance to second, and Lopez's single to right scored Wiel to put the Miracle ahead. Fort Myers added three unearned runs in the seventh off reliever Aaron Brown, who was making his second appearance on the mound for Clearwater after spending three professional seasons as an outfielder.
The Threshers will look for the series win on Monday night, with first pitch at 7 p.m. Edgar Garcia (3-4) will have the start against Sean Poppen (2-2), and the game will be broadcast live on threshersbaseball.com starting at 6:45 p.m.
