The Braves' No. 7 product continued to take the Southern League by storm, doubling twice and driving in a run on another three-hit night Tuesday as Double-A Mississippi defeated Jackson, 6-4, at The Ballpark at Jackson.

Gameday box score
Since going hitless in two games on May 20-21, Acuna is batting .448 (13-for-29) with a homer, five doubles and four RBIs during a seven-game hitting streak. The 19-year-old collected at least three hits for the fifth time in 20 games with Mississippi, bringing his slash line up to .390/.448/.623 with 11 extra-base hits and 14 RBIs. His most recent hot streak earned him Southern League Player of the Week honors for May 22-28.
On Tuesday, Acuna went down swinging in the first inning but ignited a rally in the third with an infield single. He moved to second on a wild pitch, took third on the first of three singles by Joey Meneses and scored on a sacrifice fly by Keith Curcio. With one out in the fourth, Acuna ripped his first double of the night to left field to drive in Luis Valenzuela.
The Venezuela native struck out again to end the fifth but doubled to left in his final at-bat in the seventh.

Acuna is batting .328 with 22 extra-base hits, 33 RBIs and 33 runs scored in 48 games between Mississippi and Class A Advanced Florida. He's added 24 stolen bases in 32 tries, eight more than the career high he set in 2015 in the Rookie-level Appalachian and Gulf Coast leagues.
"Acuna made our lineup and team better from the second he joined us," M-Braves manager Luis Salazar told MiLB.com recently. "You hardly ever see that young of a player with that much potential. He's got it all -- he can run, he can hit and he can throw. It's only been a few games, but I don't think I've seen many players with that amount of talent."
Braves No. 10 prospect Luiz Gohara returned from the disabled list and allowed a solo homer to Kevin Cron -- his Southern League-leading 12th -- while striking out four over two innings out of the bullpen.
Travis Demeritte, the Braves' ninth-ranked prospect, went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and two runs scored for Mississippi, which pounded out 15 hits.
D-backs No. 7 prospectBrad Keller was charged with three runs on seven hits and a walk with three strikeouts in a season-low 2 1/3 innings.
