Chicago Cubs No. 4 prospect and baseball’s No. 44 prospect (MLB.com) Moises Ballesteros has continued his excellent summer into the fall with the Mesa Solar Sox of the Arizona Fall League.
The backstop is slashing .373/.404/.725 (19-for-51) with five home runs and 14 RBI in 11 games with Mesa, including a stretch from Oct. 25-28 in which he homered in three consecutive contests. The 20-year-old ranks among Fall League leaders in home runs (3rd), hits (5th), RBI (T-5th) and batting average (9th).
Ballesteros played in 68 games with Iowa in 2024 and hit .281 (73-for-260) with 10 home runs and 35 RBI. He was named the Chicago Cubs Buck O’Neil Minor League Player of the Year on Oct. 23 for the second consecutive season.
The Arizona Fall League regular season runs through November 14 with the postseason to follow.
