Battenfield (1-2) allowed four hits and three runs in his six-inning effort, notching his fourth consecutive quality start and his first win of the year. The former Oklahoma State star has now registered five quality starts in six outings this year. Over his last four starts, he also posted a minuscule 1.44 ERA.
With the game tied at three in the seventh, Winston-Salem (16-13) took the lead for good against Potomac (11-18) right-hander Luis Reyes (0-3).

Despite earning the win, Potomac jumped out to an early lead for the fifth consecutive day against Winston-Salem. With one on and one out, Telmito Agustin hit a two-run shot to right-center to put Potomac ahead 2-0.

Following the trip to Potomac and an off day on Monday, Winston-Salem will begin a six-game homestand against Lynchburg and Down East from May 7-12. The three-game set with Lynchburg will include a Taco Tuesday, a Lowes Foods Thirsty Thursday and a Pups in the Park Night, presented by Handy and Handy Orthodontics.
