Bawcom Named TL Pitcher of the Week

Tulsa Drillers starting pitcher Logan Bawcom has been named Texas League Pitcher of the Week. Bawcome received the honor for the week of June 25 - July 1 following his dominant start on Saturday, June 30 against the Midland RockHounds.
In that outing, the right-hander picked up the victory after fanning eight RockHounds while giving up only two hits in 5.2 innings.
Bawcom was signed to a minor league contract on May 16 of this year by the Los Angeles Dodgers after beginning the season playing independent baseball with the Sugar Land Skeeters. In nine starts with the Drillers, he is 3-5 with a 4.67 ERA.
Bawcom is the third Driller to receive a Texas League honor this season. Drew Jackson won Texas League Player of the Week in May, and Justin De Fratus was named Texas League Pitcher of the week after the first week of the season.
