MOBILE, Ala. (July 18, 2018) - The Mobile BayBears, the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, surged ahead 2-1 after four innings but dropped the series opener 4-2 to the Chattanooga Lookouts Wednesday night at Hank Aaron Stadium.
After falling behind 1-0 on a throwing error in the fourth, the BayBears (48-45 overall, 11-14 second half) jumped in front in the bottom of the frame.
However, Mobile's lead was short-lived. Chattanooga (44-51, 8-18) tied the game in the fifth and took the lead on
Despite having runners in scoring position in five of the nine innings, the BayBears left nine men on base and went just 1-for-11 with RISP.
