PEARL, Miss. (July 24, 2018) - The Mobile BayBears, the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, plated runs in five different frames but left 12 men on base in an 11-5 loss to the Mississippi Braves Tuesday night at Trustmark Park.
Faced with an early 3-0 hole, the BayBears (48-51 overall, 11-20 second half) battled back and cut the deficit to 3-2.
However, Mississippi (46-55, 17-14) plated multiple runs in four different innings and pulled away.
Despite getting 11 hits in the game, the BayBears went just 3-for-16 with runners in scoring position.
With Tuesday's loss, the BayBears have now dropped a franchise-record 12 consecutive games.
