MOBILE, Ala. (July 28, 2018) - The Mobile BayBears, the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, dropped the series opener 7-4 against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp Saturday night at Hank Aaron Stadium.
The BayBears (51-52 overall, 14-21 second half) could pull no closer than three runs behind after trailing 5-0 in the middle of the sixth inning. Mobile plated a pair of runs in the sixth and eighth, but Jacksonville (40-64 overall, 12-24 second half) slugged three home runs with 14 total hits in the game.
