BayBears split doubleheader to wrap up series with Shrimp

MOBILE, Ala. (May 10, 2019) - The Mobile BayBears, the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, split a doubleheader with the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp in front of 3,869 fans Friday night at Hank Aaron Stadium, winning the first game 1-0 and dropping the series finale 7-4.
GAME ONE:
The BayBears provided Madero with just one run of support, which was enough in the second shutout victory of the series.
GAME TWO:
The BayBears (15-19) erased an early two-run deficit but could not overcome a four-run Jacksonville (12-23) fourth inning.
After both teams scored a pair of runs in the first, the Jumbo Shrimp jumped back in front in the third.
The BayBears loaded the bases to start the bottom of the fourth but only plated one run in the inning.
