BayBears sweep six-game series, win seventh straight at home

MOBILE, Ala. (August 3, 2017) - The Mobile BayBears, the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, recorded their first sweep of the 2017 season with a 6-4 victory over the Mississippi Braves in the series finale Thursday night at Hank Aaron Stadium.
After the teams traded runs early, the BayBears (51-58 overall, 21-19 second half) broke a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the sixth inning.
This was the first series sweep for the BayBears since April 25-29, 2015 against Mississippi. It was also the first six-game series sweep for Mobile since June 24-29, 2007 against West Tenn.
The BayBears are currently on a season-long six-game win streak and have won seven consecutive games at home.
