With the Bees trailing 1-0 in the second inning, John Schuknecht blasted a double off the right field wall. Jordan Zimmerman snapped a two-game hitless streak by slapping a single into right, scoring Schuknecht, tying the game at one. With runners on the corners and two outs, Angel Almao doubled off the wall in right, scoring both Zimmerman and Jeyson Sanchez, putting the Bees on top 3-1.
Peoria got their lead back in the third inning when Andrew Young smacked a three-run home run off the scoreboard in right field, putting the Chiefs back on top at 4-3. The Chiefs added a run in the fourth and then three more in the fifth inning thanks to a two-run double from Young and a RBI single by Juan Yepez, making the score 8-3 in favor of the Chiefs.
Angel Almao started the Bees comeback in the fifth inning with a single. The Bees hit 12 times in the inning but only recorded just two hits. The Bees went on to score seven runs thanks to six walks issued by Peoria Chiefs' pitchers, two hit batters, and two wild pitches, giving the Bees a 10-8 lead.
Jackson Zarubin (3-0) earned the win while Dewin Perez (0-2) was charged with the loss. Blake Smith (3) picked up the save. The Bees and Chiefs finish the series on Monday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. as Andrew Vinson makes the start for the Bees against John Kilichowski for Peoria.
