(Burlington, IA) - The Burlington Bees (45-56) scored four unanswered runs on their way to a 4-1 win over the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in game one a doubleheader on Thursday night at Community Field. 

(Burlington, IA) - The Burlington Bees (45-56) scored four unanswered runs on their way to a 4-1 win over the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in game one a doubleheader on Thursday night at Community Field. 

Wisconsin opened the scoring in the first inning, With one out, Demi Orimoloye doubled to left field and then stole third base. After a groundout, Mario Feliciano then shot a double to right, scoring Orimoloye, giving Wisconsin a 1-0 lead. 
Bees' starter Nate Bertness would settle down and not allow a run over his next four innings of work. The Bees grabbed the lead in the bottom of the second inning. With two outs and the bases empty, Artemis Kadkhodaian was hit by a pitch and then moved to third on a Richie Fecteau double. Stephen Kerr gave the Bees the lead with a single to left, scoring both Kadkhodaian and Fecteau, putting the Bees on top, 2-1. Sam McDonnell capped off the inning with a single to left, scoring Kerr, extending the Bees' lead to 3-1. 
The Bees added one more run in the fifth inning when Jonah Todd scored on a wild pitch, giving the Bees a 4-1 lead. Bees' reliever Jackson Zarubin (2) worked two scoreless innings to secure the Bees' 4-1 win. Nate Bertness (4-9) allowed one run in five innings, earning the win while Josh Pennington (0-2) was charged with the loss.
NOTES: Jackson Zarubin tossed two more scoreless innings and has not allowed a run since June 30th. Nate Bertness earned his first win since June 13th. The Bees have now won 10 games in a row against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers this season.
