In his Double-A debut Biggio is hitting .256 (112-for-438) with 23 doubles, five triples, 26 home runs, 98 RBIs, 80 runs scored, and 20 stolen bases in 129 games for the Fisher Cats this season while helping lead the team to their first playoff berth since the 2011 season. The 6'1", 203 lb. slugger has appeared in 66 games at second base, 34 games at third base, 21 games at first base, and two games in right field this year. The 23-year old currently leads the Eastern League in home runs (26), walks (99), slugging percentage (.509), on-base percentage (.393), and OPS (.902). He also ranks among the league leaders in RBIs (98-2nd), runs scored (80-2nd), extra-base hits (54-2nd), total bases (223-3rd), triples (5-tied 8th), and stolen bases (20-tied 8th).
Biggio, who is a native of Houston, Texas, was selected as the second baseman on the recently announced 2018 Eastern League All-Star Team. He was also the starting second baseman for the Eastern Division at the 2018 Eastern League All-Star Game in Trenton and went 1-for-3 with one walk.
Cavan, who is the son of Hall of Famer Craig Biggio, was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the fifth round of the 2016 draft out after hitting .311 with 43 runs scored and 28 RBIs during his junior season at Notre Dame.
