MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (June 18, 2017) - Both Jesse Hodges and Eloy Jimenez homered Sunday as the Myrtle Beach Pelicans rolled by the Down East Wood Ducks 8-3 at Grainger Stadium.

The score would remain that way until the fifth.
Alamo doubled to begin the seventh inning and came into score on a Flete RBI single two batters later, increasing the Birds' advantage to 7-2.

The Wood Ducks retired the first two batters of the eighth inning before Hodges laced a double.
Myrtle Beach finished the first half of the season at 43-27, the Carolina League's best record and tied for the seventh-most wins in any half in Pelicans history. The Birds closed the half by winning 20 of their last 25 games, including 15 of 17 in June.
