The BlueClaws (2-8/27-50) dropped their 14th game in their last 17 while Hudson Valley(7-5/41-37) has taken the first three games of the series. Jersey Shore has lost six straight at ShoreTown Ballpark, their longest losing streak of the season.
Hudson Valley jumped out to a 4-0 lead with four runs in the top of the third inning. Trey Sweeney drove in the first with an RBI double. An error on second baseman Casey Martin on an Anthony Seigler grounder allowed a run to score. Spencer Henson followed with a two run home run, his seventh of the season to give the Renegades a 4-0 lead.
Freylin Minyety drove in a run in the fifth with an RBI single to bring the BlueClaws within 4-1. Hudson Valley, however, added two runs in the seventh on a fly ball to center by Everson Pereira that was lost in the lights, allowing two runs to score.
Dominic Pipkin (1-3) took the loss, allowing four runs, but only one earned, in four innings.
Castano struck out eight over six innings, allowing five hits and one run. Pereira had three hits and drove in three
