The BlueClaws have partnered with the American Cancer Society and their Real Men Wear Pink initiative for Breast Cancer Awareness Night on Thursday, August 16th at the BlueClaws 7:05 pm game against Rome at FirstEnergy Park.
There are several elements to the night, starting with a special promo code. When fans buy their tickets online (click here to order online) and use the promo code "StrikeOutCancer," then $3 from each ticket purchase will be donated directly to the American Cancer Society.
BlueClaws mascot Buster will be wearing a special pink jersey that will be auctioned off with proceeds being donated to the American Cancer Society and their Real Men Wear Pink initiative.
Survivor Parade - Breast cancer survivors, their friends, and family members are invited to participate in a pre-game survivors parade on the field before the game. Participants are instructed to wear pink and meet on the plaza outside FirstEnergy Park between 5:30 pm and 6:10 pm. The parade will begin on the field at 6:15 pm. Anyone who is interested in participating in the parade can email Jennifer Lefthand withe the American Cancer Society, [email protected].
Thursday's game is also Ladies Night, which includes a Tote Bag Giveaway for the first 1,000 women thanks to New Jersey Natural Gas. After the game, stay for a Diamond Dig (first 250 women to sign up on the concourse at the Toyota World of Lakewood table before the game). It's the final Thirsty Thursday (95.9 WRAT) of the regular season with dollar beer and 75-cent wings from Quaker Steak & Lube in the BlueClaws Biergarten. For more on Ladies Night, click here.
