Turning Point
With the game tied at two and the bases loaded in the eighth, Bobby Bradley hit his 25th double of the season, scoring Ivan Castillo and Joe Sever to put the Ducks up 4-2.
Winging It
Ducks starter Matt Esparza gave up one run in each of the first two innings, but allowed no damage the rest of the game. Esparza finished with six innings, three hits, two runs, all earned, two walks and a strikeout. Jacob Lee relieved Esparza in the seventh and pitched a scoreless inning. Mitch Brown took the mound in the bottom of the eighth inning and gave up three runs on three singles. Robbie Aviles came on for Akron in the bottom of the ninth and pitched a perfect inning for the save. Harrisburg starter Greg Ross went seven innings, allowing six hits, four runs, three earned, and a walk with nine strikeouts.
Duck Tales
Down 2-0 in the seventh the Ducks got on the board with a Taylor Murphy single to left that scored Bobby Bradley. The Ducks took the lead in the eighth with a five-run inning, starting with a bases-loaded groundout from Joe Sever. Akron reloaded the bases for Bobby Bradley, who gave the Ducks a 4-2 lead on a two-run double. Dorssys Paulino followed up with his 11th double of the year, a two-run hit giving Akron a 6-2 lead. Bradley finished with three hits, including two doubles.
